Right in the middle of the island is the provincial capital, Sancti Spiritus (Holy Spirit).  Here we find one of the most exciting works going on in Cuba.  Brother Jose Sori Cancio, and his wife Ramona have two sons, Maikel and Henry, both of whom are married (Maydelin and Nelkys) and have two sons each.  The Cancio family has a nice home in which a congregation of forty to fifty meet for Bible study and worship each week.  In addition to the work in Sancti Spiritus, Jose has helped to develop a large team of workers who are constantly going out preaching and teaching, publicly and house to house.  From Sancti Spiritus workers go out to many outlying communities where house churches exist.  They organize door-knocking campaigns and are constantly seeking for opportunities to start new congregations.

The men of the congregation are dedicated to building up the church throughout Sancti Spiritus province, and Jose is seeking for a larger facility to buy so they accomodate the growing number of people seeking to know and worship the Lord.
