Brother Del Rowe has entered into the promised rest (Hebrews 4:10), following a lengthy struggle and stay in the hospital.  After suffering a fall in his home on July 20th, at which time his hip was broken, he underwent surgery to implant a new hip prosthesis.  He subsequently developed an infection, which required several more surgical procedures.  Finally, his weakened, tired body gave out and this quiet, gentle, thoughtful brother went home to be with the Lord.  He will certainly be missed in our worship times and fellowship.

A memorial service will be conducted for Del on Thursday, September 25, at 2 p.m.  Del leaves behind his wife Jeanne, and his two sons, Patrick and David.  A third son, Danny preceded Del in death.  Del spent most of his adult career working in the oil industry, in the U.S. as well as abroad.  His favorite Bible verse was Hebrews 11:1.  “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
