Longtime Ponca City resident Linda Ann Speight, 67, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 22 at Mercy Hospital in OKC. Linda was born on October 26, 1946 in Tulsa, OK to Floyd and Aletha Campbell. She attended grammar school at Attucks Elementary and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1964. She was quite the scholar. Linda loved her six grandchildren; Ciara Speight, Skyler Speight, Alyssa Kearney, Kera Kester, Aliyah Kearney and Connor Speight.

Over the years, Linda was employed by Farm Fresh, CONOCO, and most memorably, at Ponca City High School. She dedicated her life to God at an early age. Linda graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Theology. Spreading the word of God was her passion. Prior to her illness, Linda headed a prison ministry program where she taught inmates the Word of God. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ, and member of the Hartford Avenue congregation in Ponca City. She touched countless lives and was truly a blessing to everyone.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Aletha Campbell; grandparents; Hobart and Gladys McClellan, Ruth Nesbitt and sister-Tamara L. Watson. In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, Linda is survived by four siblings; Sondra Williams of Boston, MA, Connie Lockett of Ark City, KS, Floyd Campbell, JR of Phoenix, AZ and Seneca Jones of Ponca City. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws; Yokolanda Speight and Steve Watson.

She was dearly loved and will be missed, always and forever.
